I confess

I confess:
I always try to escape,
I do lie.

I confess:
I am never guilty,
I never regret.

Or

I confess:
I always try to escape,
I am never guilty.

I confess:
I do lie,
I never regret.

I know I can never be professional.

hei;

confession is the result of regret & guilt feeling. If you are not regret then why you are cofessing????????

LOL :)

It could sound rude, but your posts, however serious they are, do make me atleast smile. :)

How about this:

I confess..
I am always guilty..
I never try to escape..

I confess..
I never lie..
I do regret..

It's after all some word play. ;) You just swap the lines, I do it with words too ;)

I hope, I didnt hurt you! :)

That sound good!

Prakhar: Thank you!

Alex: If you go as per the first combination of words you might feel that I am not confessing. But the second clearly says that I am confessing. I am confessing two things. First that I always try to escape and second that I do lie. Got it?

And you ask why I wrote the same thing in two different ways. It is show the confusion of a character that is struggling to understand what is right and what is wrong and how it affects his expression.

Sands: Smile in the sense? :)

I liked your swapping thing however I would like to explain:

I confess I am always guilty I never try to escape means I am guilty and I never try to escape from that guilt. Means in one sense you are accepting that you are guilty and you don't want a way out of it.

I confess I never lie I do regret means I never lie and at the same time I do regret. Means you regret that you are unable to lie.

Is it so?

@Soul

:)

Smile in the sense... I just smile. But I can't explain why!! :(

Your explanation is right on the target.

For the first one (guilty and not escape), if you think something negative, I have the explanation in the book Shantaram. [Do read it if you haven't yet]

Sands.

PS: Even this was something like *deep inside the core*. I thought really about this, only after you did explain. (But I somehow knew that you'd do that) :)

Ria: Yes! :)

Shekar: Thank you!

Ashu: It is very simple. Try reading one more time. Please! :)

Nitin: It could be a doctor who is confessing. Could it be? What say?

Sands: To be honest, I am very happy that you are smiling whenever you read my posts. Whatever the reason is, don't mention :) I have not read the book Shantaram. Who is the author?

Mayz: Please read the explanation I have given to Alex above. I am sorry to confuse you :(

Well, I don't believe your explanation on picture and that professional thing.

It means something else; I could be wrong!

Sands.

PS: Stethoscopes are used to know heart-beats. {Do you think, I have understood something?}

Or am I still in dark? :)

Nitin: Hope you had a good weekend ;)

Sands: What does LOL mean?

Ashu: :)

Heartbeap: Being an emotional doctor and that too a heart specialist, I found it very difficult to fight my conscience especially on professionalism when it came to giving hope to my dying patients. Thats when I lied to escape from their hopeless looks. And thats exactly when I thought I should not feel guilty about it and never regret.

It was all part of imagination rather putting myself in a doctor's shoes. My basic idea was to express my feelings about guilt and lie and regret. That I did! The picture and the doctor was other ways for a second person, like a reader, to interpret in his or her own way.
